Our MVC Coach: Lisa Leslie

When the WNBA launched in 1997, Lisa Leslie was selected by the Los Angeles Sparks. During her 11 seasons, she won two championships, became a three-time MVP, and earned eight WNBA All-Star selections. Lisa also helped lead team
USA to four Olympic gold medals. She’s also the first woman to slam dunk in a WNBA game.
Off the court, Lisa has been a sports commentator and analyst. She currently co-hosts CBS Sports' We Need To Talk. Lisa is also
an author and wrote the book Don’t Let the Lipstick Fool You.
In 2010, she became the first WNBA player turned Co-Owner of the Los Angeles Sparks. In 2012, she both received her Masters in Business Administration from
the University of Phoenix and launched the Lisa Leslie Basketball & Leadership Academy.
